Join us for the first **Data Talks** event on November 12, 2024, at the Bent Mast (in James Bay).

The evening kicks off at 5pm with a casual meet-and-greet in the function room, followed by a presentation from Juan Reyes on his exciting thesis at 5:30pm.

Bring your questions and curiosity for a lively discussion!

Parking is available at the James Bay Thrifty's lot, the opposite parking lot, and there’s plenty of street parking nearby.

Juan Carlos Reyes

**Juan Reyes** is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Elections BC with experience in geospatial data science, machine learning, and satellite imagery analysis. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Geomatics from Acadia University and has worked as a Geospatial Data Scientist for the Applied Geomatics Research Group. Juan is passionate about applying advanced data analytics to real-world challenges and bridging the gap between academia and industry. At **Data Talks**, he will share insights from his thesis, blending his expertise in GIS and data science
