Everyone is welcome to attend; however, voting is limited to VDS members.

📌 Notes:
Dress for the weather – the picnic shelter provides some cover, but we’ll be outside.
Bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, or outdoor games if you’d like!
Directions: The picnic shelter is located behind the Recreation Centre and library. Follow the road past the Q Centre and WildPlay on your right, and the skateboard park, field house, golf course, and baseball diamonds on your left. The pavilion is beside the playground at the end of the road.

It takes a lot to build a data set that survives peer review. In this session, we'll follow the research data collection pipeline: establishing chain-of-custody, navigating compliance, building a data cleaning process that allows for responsible, accurate corrections, and preparing your data set for analysis.
Nick Hepner has more than a decade of experience designing, building, and securing enterprise-level data collection platforms as an Enterprise Data Platform Specialist.
